SOUTH BEND - Allie I. Smiley, 77, of Evergreen Lane, died at 5:30 a.m. Sunday in Michiana Community Hospital. Mrs. Smiley was born Sept. 5, 1917, in Freestone County, Texas, and lived in South Bend for 10 years. On June 16, 1962, in Houston, as Allie I. Fisher, she married Owen C. Smiley. He survives with a son, Ronald Ramsey of South Bend; five granddaughters; 10 great-granddaughters; and a sister, Flossie Hook of Brownwood, Texas. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
