Benjamin Slocum

   The funeral services of Benjamin  Slocum were held at the M. E. Church on
sunday at 2 p.m. conducted by Rev. H. H.  LDunlavy. Mrs. Slocum died in South
Bend the result of a paralytic stroke some  time previous, ate 51 years. He
leaves a wife and 12 children, six boys and six  girls, who were in attendance
at the funeral. The Masonic order was present in a  body and conducted the
burial ceremonies at the Hamilton Cemetery.
