The funeral of Casper Slisz, 129 Bendix Dr., who
died at 8:45 a.m. in St. Joseph Hospital will be held at 9:00 a.m. Monday at St
Adalbert's Catholic Church, the very Rev Msgr. Harry Gapczynski officiating.
Burial will be in St. Josephs Poilsh Catholic Cemetery. He was born in
Kolaczyce, Poland to Anton and Marya (Stec) Slisz, December 24,
1881 and came here 70 years ago from Pittsburgh, Pa. On February 8, 1904 he
married Mary Andrysiak at St. Casimir, in South Bend, who survives. He
retired six years ago from Oliver Corporation where he had been employed for 25
years. Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Henrietta Novinich,
Mrs. Evelyn Piechorowski, Mrs. Elsie Maeyens, and Mrs Phyllis Rairdon;
three sons Edward, Clement and Fred, 23 grandchildren all of South Bend.
Friends may call after 7:00 p.m. today at the St.
Joseph Funeral Chapel. The pallbearers will be Frank
Piechorowski, Elmer Maeyens, Anthony Novinich, Bert Karbowski, Ralph and Daniel
Slisz.
