SOUTH BEND – Services for John Y. Slick, 76, of 1601 N. College St., who died about 10:20am Tuesday at Memorial Hospital of natural causes, will be at 2pm Friday at Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3:30 to 7pm Thursday at the funeral home where the rosary will be said at 3:30pm

Mr. Slick retired in 1977, as a foreman for the Aerospace Division of the Bendix Corp. after 44 years of service.  He was born July 8, 1913, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.  On August 19, 1939, in South Bend, he married Mary Blanford.  She survives, along with two daughters, Katherine Perry of South Bend and Mary Weirick of Culver; a granddaughter; and a sister, Lena Cox of Titusville FL.  He was a member of Bendix Senior Management Club.
