MISHAWAKA - Henry Joseph "Pops" Skeen, 63, passed away
at 2:20 PM Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Elkhart Rehabilitation
Center, Elkhart, IN. He worked for Elkhart Fabrication with the
R.V. Industry. Mr. Skeen was born on March 7, 1947 in Elwood, IN,
to the late Henry Curtis and Luella Mae (Ashwell) Skeen. He has
lived in our local area since 1980. On November 21, 1986 in South
Bend, he married Carolyn A. Landry who preceded in death on April
10, 2007. One grandson, Rob (wife, Elizabeth Fuentes) Fuentes
also preceded in death. Mr. Skeen was also preceded in death by
his four dogs, JoJo, Itty Bit, Patches, and Pal Pal. Mr. Skeen is
survived by his daughter, Victoria (Jose) Sandoval of South Bend;
two sons, John J. (Deanna) Ramirez of Mishawaka and Richard Jones
of Elkhart; 7 grandchildren, Christina (Richard) Kasznia,
Veronica Fuentes, Alex Pedraza, John Ramirez, Angel Jones,
Antonio Jones, and Ashley Krom; 12 great grandchildren; two
sisters, Judy (Richard) Rice of Avon Park, FL and Linda Caldwell
of Florida; two brothers, Cecil (Dorothy) Skeen of Anderson, IN
and George (Anita) Skeen of Tipton, IN; brother-in-law, Dan
Hairell of Mishawaka; and many nieces and nephews. There will be
no services or visitation. Palmer Funeral Home-River Park and
Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting Mr. Skeen's family.
