MISHAWAKA - Rosa Siri, 94, of West 11th Street, died at 4:07 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Community Hospital after an illness. Mrs. Siri was born Feb. 15, 1901, in Cantlupo, Liguere, Italy, and had lived here since 1936.
On May 17, 1941, in Mishawaka, as Rosa Bruno Sobrero, she married Joseph Siri. He died June 1972. Survivng are a daughter, Angela Trippel of Mishawaka; three sons, George of Estero, Fla., Julius of South Bend and William of Mishawaka; 22 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A son, Louis, died in 1974.
She was a member of St. Bavo Catholic Church. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, where a rosary will be said at 3:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to WNDU-TV Mass program for shut-ins.
