Carolyn A. Sink, 48, of Fernlake Drive, died Tuesday evening, July 16, in her residence.

She was born in Benton Harbor, Mich., on Aug. 8, 1953, to Samuel and Sarah (McLure) Archie. Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother in 1972; her sister, Robbie Gearing in 1975; and by her stepmother, Morene Archie in 2001.

She is survived by her father, Samuel Archie of Benton Harbor; a son, Samuel A. (Michelle) Sink of Jacksonville, Fla.; two grandchildren, Jake and Danielle Sink of Jacksonville; a sister, Omega Geik of Berrien Springs, Mich.; four brothers, Harold (Sandy) Archie of Hartford, Mich., Roger (Dianne) Archie of Bitely, Mich., Virgil (Gail) Archie of Battle Creek, Mich., and John Archie of Benton Harbor. Carolyn is also survived by her boyfriend, Rick Haifley of Constantine, Mich.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka. Graveside services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday (Ind. time) at Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph, Mich.
