Paul M. Sinka (June 6, 1916 - Oct. 16,
1999)
Paul M. Sinka, 83, of Holmes Road, South
Bend, Ind., passed away on Saturday, Oct. 16, in St. Joseph's Care
Center, South Bend.
Mr. Sinka was born on June 6, 1916, in South
Bend, to Paul and Mary (Balint) Sinka. He was preceded in
death by his parents; three sisters, Maria Kipp, Helen Hurst
and Julia Smogor; and by a brother, John Sinka.
He retired in 1971 from
the former Bendix Corporation as a supervisor in the brake and
steering division since 1940. Mr. Sinka was a member of the
Fraternal Order of Eagles, Lodge #321, South Bend.
On Jan. 18, 1936, in South
Bend, Paul married Adeline Bronski, who survives. He is
also survived by a daughter, Carol (Raymond) Branchick of
South Bend; a son, Paul P. Sinka of South Bend; seven
grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one
great-great-grandchild; three sisters, Betty Kuc of South
Bend, Kate Kish of Michigan and Rose Varga of South
Bend; and by a brother, Joseph Sinka of Mishawaka.
Funeral services will be
held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 20, in the Kaniewski Funeral
Home, 2545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, with burial to follow in Highland
Cemetery.
