GRANGER - Evan Thomas "Tom" Singer, 83, beloved
husband, father, brother and friend of Granger, IN, passed away

Tom was born on July 3, 1926, in Lorain, Ohio, to the late
Eleanor and John I. Singer. He was raised in the Massillon, Ohio,
area and joined the U.S. Navy during World War II in 1943 and
served in the South Pacific. He also served another tour of duty
during the Korean Conflict. He was very proud of his service to
his country. He was a member of VFW Post #350 and their burial
squad. Tom and his wife, Rebecca "Becky" Cooper, were
together nearly 30 years as partners in life and nearly 23 years
as husband and wife. They were married January 2, 1987, in

Sweetie Pie, whom he loved very much. He was preceded in death by
his parents as well as sisters, Mary Miller and Betty Mullen. Tom
leaves us with fond memories of his joy for life and ability to
live in the moment. He loved to travel, especially road trips
when his wife drove and he could sit back and enjoy the ride. He
was a very friendly and outgoing person who loved to talk and get
to know everyone. He was a loving person with a great sense of
humor who made everyone he touched laugh in some way. He will be
greatly missed by his loving family and many friends. There will
be no funeral services. Memorial contributions may be made to the
American
Cancer Society or to the VFW Post #360 burial squad. "Death
