Sister M. Hilarion Simon CSC, 80 of Saint Mary’s Convent died Saturday in her residence. As Mary Magdalena Simon she was born on July 8, 1898 in New Tier, Minn. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross at St. Mary’s on Feb. 1, 1916 coming from Alemany, Wis.; was received as a novice on Aug. 4, 1916; and made her profession of vows on Jan. 1, 1919.. During her community life she was assigned to household duties, serving in hospitals and convents in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Idaho, New Mexico, California. In 1969 she returned to St. Mary’s Convent where she lived until her death.

A wake service was held on Sunday and the funeral services Monday at Our Lady of Loretto Church at St. Mary’s. Internment was in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery at St. Mary’s.
