SOUTH BEND - Douglas Glenn Silvers, 45, of Reno, Nev., formerly of South Bend, died April 7, 1994, in Reno after an illness.

Mr. Silvers was born Nov. 10, 1948, in South Bend. Surviving are his mother, Patricia Silvers Goebel of Mishawaka; and a sister, Candy Sommers of South Bend. He was an Army veteran.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Sunnyside Presbyterian Church. Cremation will take place, with burial in Riverview Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Forest G. Hay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Vietnam Veterans of Michiana.
