MaryEllen Riley Silva, 62, of Penn
Avenue in Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 6:35 a.m. on Sunday,
Sept. 23, in Our Lady of Peace, South Bend, Ind. MaryEllen was
born on May 12, 1939, in South Bend, to John A. and Lillian (Reading)
Riley, who have both preceded her in death. She was also
preceded in death by brothers, John and Fred Riley;
sister-in-law, Elsie Riley; and by sisters, Doris Craig
and Jane Troyer.
On April 30, 1958, in Columbia, S.C.,
MaryEllen married Manuel Silva Jr. She leaves to cherish her
memories her loving husband; her sons, Wade (Patty) Silva and
Quin Cannon (Dawn) Silva, both of South Bend; daughters, Lori
(Frank) DeSmith and Toni (Denny) Tribbey, both of
Mishawaka; three brothers, Robert Riley, William (Lorraine) Riley
and Pat Riley, all of South Bend; four sisters, Phyllis (Charles)
Fielder of Mishawaka, Violet Keltz and Shirley Sellers,
both of South Bend, and Nancy Strezelecki of Phoenix,
Ariz.; two sisters-in-law, Jean Riley of Niles, Mich., and Mickey
Riley of South Bend; and by eight grandchildren, Frank, James and
Daniel DeSmith, Kevin and Tim Nelson, Ciara, Cody
and Brandon Silva.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today, Sept. 26,
in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola, Ind., with Father
Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial
Gardens, Osceola. Friends called from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 25, in the funeral home.
