Stephen Sikorski: (South Bend Tribune 7/29/1963)

Stephen Sikorski, 73, of 710 S. Olive St., died at 9:15 a.m. Sunday in St. Joseph’s Hospital. A retired trimmer from the South Bend Wood Parts Co., he came here 66 years ago from Poland, where he was born on Dec. 22, 1889. He married Lottie Walkowiak on Oct. 14, 1913, in St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church. She died April 29, 1962. Mr. Sikorski is survived by a son, Clement, South Bend; three daughters, Miss Henrietta Sikorski, Mrs. Lucille Tafelski and Mrs. Alice Digirolamo, all of South Bend; five grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Virginia Nowacki, South Bend. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Joseph Funeral Chapel, where the rosary will be recited at 7 by Very Rev. Msgr. Ignatius Gapczynski and at 7 p.m. Wednesday by the Holy  Name Society of St. Adalbert’s Church. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Adalbert’s Church with Rev. Gapczynski, the pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Mr. Sikorski was a member of the West Side Democratic Club.
