MISHAWAKA - Joseph T. Signorino, 75, of Petro Drive, Mishawaka, Ind., died after an illness at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25, in Hospice House of South Bend, Ind. Mr. Signorino was born on April 2, 1922, in Mishawaka, as the son of Rosario and Lora (Agati) Signorino, who both preceded him in death.
On Feb. 2, 1943, at Great Lakes Naval Station, Ill., he married Josephine Antonelli, who survives. He is also survived by four sons, Steven R. and John A. Signorino, both of Mishawaka, Joseph Signorino of Ohio and Paul D. Signorino of Soldotna, Alaska; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Leah, Daniel, Dustin, Patricia Kelly, all of Mishawaka, Jeffery and Amireah of Soldotna, Alaska; two great-granddaughters, Janetta Bates and Crystal Signorino; two sisters, Mary Van Ooteghem and Francesca Steed, both of Mishawaka; and by two brothers, Gasper of South Bend and Christopher Signorino of Mishawaka.
Mr. Signorino was the owner of Signorino Plumbing and Heating in Mishawaka for 40 years, retiring in 1987. He was a World War II Navy veteran and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 360.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. on Friday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. Robert Yast officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park, Osceola, Ind.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. Eighth Street, Mishawaka. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County or to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka.
