Sister Gudula Siex CSC

Sister Gudula CSC, whose worldy name was Rosalie Siex, did this morning at 3:30 o’clock at St. Mary’s convent.

Sister Gudula was born in Belgium and came to St. Mary’s in 1876. She made her profession in 1879. The sister was an artist of exceptional ability in lacemaking and many beautiful pieces of exquisite Brussells lace are in evidence about the convent.

Funeral services for Sister Gudula, CSC, were held this morning from the chapel at St. Mary’s college and academy. Burial was in St. Mary’s Community Cemetery.
