August T. Sieron, 93, of Crestview, Fla., formerly of South Bend, Ind., died after a lengthy illness on Wednesday evening, March 31, at the Crestview Nursing and Convalescent Home in Crestview, Fla. Mr. Sieron was born in South Bend on Sept. 25, 1905, to Francis and Sylvia Bochart Sieron, and had been a resident of the northwest Florida area for the past 10 years. He was a retired chemical engineer and also a consultant in chemical plant construction. Mr. Sieron was a member of Our Lady Victory Catholic Church in Crestview, and was a 1930 graduate of the University of Notre Dame. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Jean Spretnjak of Elkhart, Ind., in 1989. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen E. (Muszik) Sieron of Crestview, Fla.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Fred and Miriam Sieron of Crestview, Barry and Barbara Sieron of Monee, Ill., and Mark and Joan Sieron of Arlington Heights, Ill.; a daughter, Patricia Richards Faulkner of Sagle, Idaho; and by 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services took place in Crestview on April 3, 1999. Additional services will be conducted in South Bend under the direction of the Kaniewski Funeral Home.
