Mrs. Maggie Shuppert

March 7, 1881 – July 10, 1960

Mrs. Maggie Shuppert, Rt 1, died at 10am Sunday in the Walkerton Nursing Home. 

She was born on March 7, 1881, in Union Twp, where she was married on December 23, 1901, to LeRoy Shuppert, who died in 1932.  Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Vera Benson, of Colorado Springs, CO, Mrs. Helen Harke, of Muncie, and Mrs. Genevieve Bertsche, a missionary in the Congo; four sons, Vernon and Bonn Shuppert, of North Liberty and William and Robert Shuppert of South Bend; four sisters, Mrs. Edith Durkee, of Elgin IL, Mrs. Blanche Spitler, of South bend and Mrs. Maude Ipe and Mrs. Emma Daniels, of Mishawaka; three brothers, Rev. Fred McDonald, of Lowell and Ernest and Elwood McDonald, of Mishawaka; 23 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Wednesday in the Nusbaum Funeral Home in Walkerton, where friends may call after noon Tuesday.  Rev. Howard E. Wright, pastor of Speedway Methodist Church, Indianapolis, will officiate, and burial will be in Porter Cemetery.  Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
