Dale C. Shupert, 92, of 108 E. Rupel St., North Liberty, Ind., passed away at 1:37 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 20, in Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center, South Bend, Ind., after an extended illness.

He retired from Wells Aluminum in 1972 after 15 years of service. He was born on June 17, 1907, in South Bend, and was a lifetime area resident.

He was married on Dec. 8, 1979, to Edna Sherman in North Liberty. Besides his wife, Edna, he is survived by a daughter, Ila May Dreesen of LaPorte, Ind.; five sons, Don of South Bend, Jerry of Charlevoix, Mich., Dan of Bremen, Ind., Rex of Indianapolis, Ind., and Leon of Kingsford Heights, Ind.; a sister, Ina Arnsbarger of North Liberty; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren. His first wife, Bertha Louise Ward, preceded him in death.

Mr. Shupert was a member of the Community Baptist Church in South Bend. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday in the church and will be officiated by Dr. Bud Steadman, Pastor. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery in North Liberty.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the A.M. Manuel Funeral Home in North Liberty and one hour prior to the services in the church.
