SOUTH BEND - Marie E. Short, 92, of Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation Center, formerly of 515 E. Monroe St., died at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday in the nursing home. Mrs. Short retired in 1967 from RACO Inc.

She was born Aug. 9, 1902, in Stillwell, and lived in South Bend for 50 years. She is survived by seven nieces, Florence McCampbell of Lancaster, Calif., Thelma Wrase of Deland, Fla., Patricia Anderson of Monroe, Mich., Lois Weigand of Elkhart, Jean Collings of Kingsbury, June McCreery of Kendallville and Mary Byerwalter of Western Springs, Ill.; and a nephew, Rev. Lawrence Taylor of Grand Rapids. She was a member of Peoples Church.

Graveside services and burial will be in Kingsbury Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Forest G. Hay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
