Jeannette M. Short, 79, residing on Brick Road, Granger, Ind., passed away on Monday, June 2, in her residence. She was born on June 20, 1923, in South Bend, Ind., to Lewis J. and Amelia (Bales) Boggs, and had lived in this area all of her life.

In August 1942, in LaPorte County, Ind., she married Loren G. Short, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Short is survived by her son, Larry Short of South Bend; one granddaughter, Tommie Sue Cruz of Mishawaka, Ind.; one great-granddaughter, Cheyenne; and by a sister, Erma (Robert) Zink of Naples, Fla. Mrs. Short attended South Bend Gospel Tabernacle which became Calvary Temple, and also attended Christian Center, South Bend.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 6, in the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Pastor Bill Howell of Calvary Temple will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth, Ind. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Contributions in memory of Jeannette M.
