Mary Gladys Shively Feb. 8, 1908 - Nov. 28, 2008
SOUTH BEND - Gladys was born, went to school and worked on Colfax Avenue in South Bend, IN. At six months she moved with her family to the Shively Brick Road Farm and lived there for over 90 years. She worked 45 years and retired from the Indiana-Michigan Electric Company, but her true avocation was working on the farm and raising sheep. In her 90th year she moved to Michigan to be near her sister, Marian Shively. Gladys is survived by Marian and many friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene, and her parents, Jessie and Viola Keller Shively. A memorial service will be held at noon on Thursday, Dec. 4th, at Highland Cemetery on Portage Avenue.
