Robert L. Shisler (May 25, 1930 - Dec. 1, 1997)

Robert L. Shisler, 67, of Eighth Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1, in St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka.

Mr. Shisler was born on May 25, 1930, in Plymouth, Ind., as the son of Milton and Josephine (Goodyear) Shisler.

On Sept. 8, 1951, in South Bend, Ind., he married Melba Austin, who survives.

He is also survived by two daughters, Judith (Don) Myers of Mishawaka and Jan (John) Danch of Mishawaka; two sons, Mike Shisler of South Bend and Jim Shisler of Mishawaka; 10 grandchildren; his stepmother, Mary Jo Shisler of Eaton Rapids, Mich.; a sister, Barbara Bauer, and a half sister, Debbie Buzalski, both of South Bend; a stepbrother, Warren Rietveld of Mishawaka, and a half brother, Milton Shisler, Jr., of South Bend.

He was preceded in death by a twin sister, Betty Miller in 1983.

Mr. Shisler was a member of Local Teamsters Union No. 364, South Bend.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. Eighth Street, Mishawaka, with Rev. James Shafer officiating.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. Saturday until the time of services in the funeral home.
