Brother Bertin CSC, 76, teacher of commercial subjects in Catholic High Schools for many years, died at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Notre Dame community infirmary, where he had been ill since October. He was born in Queens County, Ireland, ass Michael Sherman, Sept. 20, 1891, and took the habit of the Congregation of Holy Cross on Dec. 7, 1890. He taught most of his religious life in Holy Cross High School in New Orleans and Cathedral High School in Indianapolis.

Funeral services will be at 8 a.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart Church at Notre Dame, with burial in Community Cemetery.
