MISHAWAKA - Marilyn J. Shepard, 66, passed away on June 6,
in her home. Marilyn was born in Bloomfield, Iowa and resided in
Mishawka. On May 17, 1964, she married Richard A. Shepard.
Marilyn is survived by three children, Greg (Monica) Shepard of
Granger, Angela (Tony) McCraner of Mishawaka and Jodi
(Chris) Abdeljaber of South Bend. She is also survived by
four grandchildren, Brandon McCraner, Katie McCraner, Abby
Shepard and Brett Shepard. She was expecting her filth grandchild
in December. Marilyn is survived by two sisters, Karen (Jim) Caraccio
of Des Moines, Iowa and Shirley (Hubert) Sines of
Washington, Iowa. She is also survived by four brothers, Gerald Rupe
of Bloomfield, Iowa, Charles (Peggy) Rupe of Bloomfield, Iowa,
Ivan (Pam) Rupe of Ottumwa, Iowa and Roger Rupe of Bloomfield,
Iowa. Marilyn was preceded in death by her mother and father,
Lucille and Landy Rupe; two sisters, Charlotte Rupe and Darlene Fry;
and a brother, Eugene Rupe. Marilyn loved and cherished her
family as they did her. She will be greatly missed by her family
and all that knew her. She had a strong love for the Lord and was
a member of Grace Church, Granger, Indiana. She was employed by
Physicians Support Service for 15 years, Granger, Indiana.
Marilyn was the kindest, most generous wife, mother, friend,
sister and grandmother. She was very selfless and always put
others before herself. Her family will cherish the memories they
had with her and she will never be forgotten.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday,
June 8 in Bubb Funeral chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka.
Funeral services will be at Bubb Funeral Chapel at 10 a.m. on
Monday, June 9. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial
Park, Granger, IN. Memorial contributions may be offered to the
Ronald McDonald House in Indianapolis, Indiana, who provided
loving care to her grandson, Brandon.
