Dale James Sheneman, 52 years old, residing on Thorn Road, North Liberty, IN, was called home to be with his Lord at 2:39 P.M. on Thurs-day, October 19, 2000, at his home. Dale was born on November 2, 1947, in South Bend, to the late Franklin and Beatrice (Banks) Sheneman. He lived in North Liberty all of his life.
On September 14, 1968, in North Liberty, he married his beloved wife and best friend, Kathie J. Nelson, who survives. He is also survived by his two children, Tricia (David) Davenport of Plymouth, IN, and Franklin II of North Liberty. Other survivors include his loving grandchildren, Ashley and Evan Dale Davenport, who knew him best as pops; and two brothers, John and Roland Sheneman, both of North Liberty.
Most recently working for Ideal Consolidated, Inc., South Bend, Dale retired in 1999 after 30 years as a journeyman plumber with Plumbers and Pipefitters Local No. 172. He was a member of the Advisory Board of Liberty Township since 1987, and a member of the Walkerton United Methodist Church. In his spare time Dale loved to be around his many animals, which have included a team of draft horses and miniature donkeys.
Funeral services and a celebration of life will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, October 23, 2000, at the Walkerton United Methodist Church, 1000 Georgia Street, Walkerton, IN. Rev. James M. Evans Jr., pastor of the church, will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Eastlawn Cemetery in North Liberty. Friends may visit with the family from 2 - 6 P.M. on Sunday, October 22, at the Palmer Funeral Home, Lakeville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Marshall County Hospice, 112 South Center Street, Suite C., Plymouth, IN 46563.
Those who knew and loved Dale will forever
