George W. Sheffield

Dec. 6, 1930 - Aug. 9, 1998

ELKHART - George William Sheffield, 67, of Waterfall Drive, Elkhart, Ind., passed away following a brief illness on Sunday, Aug. 9th, at Elkhart General Hospital.

Mr. Sheffield was born on Dec. 6, 1930, in Mishawaka, Ind., to Harold and Lucille Sheffield.

He is survived by three daughters, Sue Ann Warner of Osceola, Ind., Sherri Westlake and Stacy Savidge, both of Elkhart; four grandsons; and by his sister, Nancy Hahn of Mishawaka.

He was preceded in death by a sister, ''Arita'' JoAnn Liggett of North Liberty, Ind., who passed away in 1988.

Mr. Sheffield was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a draftsman at the Adams-Westlake Corporation of Elkhart, and retired following 22 years of service. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 183, Elkhart.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday. Officiating will be Rev. Ervin Mize.
