Mary Irene Sheets, 83, of 609 Tanglewood Lane, Mishawaka, died at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 1, 1987) at Fountainview Place, Mishawaka, after an extended illness.

She was born Nov. 10, 1904 in South Bend. As Mary I. Brooks, she married Joseph Sheets on Oct. 6, 1923 in South Bend. He died in 1961. Surviving are a son Joseph L., Syracuse; two daughters, Kathryn Weisweaver, Osceola, and Betty Colen, Niles; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and one brother Bryon Brooks, South Bend.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Warner Funeral Home, Osceola, where services will b at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. David Childs of the Twin Branch Bible Church, Mishawaka, will officiate. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.

Memorials may be made to the Twin Branch Bible Church, of which Mrs. Sheets was a member.
