Hazel A. Shaw

June 6, 1910 – July 10, 1990

MISHAWAKA – Private graveside services and burial for Hazel A. Shaw, 80,of Fountainview Place, who died about 11:05pm Tuesday at the nursing home, will be at Fairview Cemetery.  There will be no visitation.  Bubb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be made to the St Joseph County Cancer Society.

Mrs. Shaw retired from the hardware department of the former Addison Department Store.  She was born June 6, 1910, in Mishawaka and was a lifelong area resident.  ON March 12, 1927, as Hazel A. Null, she married Leslie Nichols.  He died November 8, 1949.  On November 16, 1952, in Mishawaka, she married Merville Shaw.  He died November 24, 1986.  She is survived by a daughter, Mary Jo Stievater of Grand Rapids; a son, Robert L. Nichols of Mishawaka; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Alice Barhydt and Josephine Kozlowski, both of Mishawaka; and two brothers, Henry Null of Three Rivers and Ivo Null of Tempe AZ.  A son, Norman Nichols, died January 16, 1957.
