MISHAWAKA - Margaret T. Shamo, 87, of Westmont, Ill., formerly of Mishawaka Avenue, died March 12 in Medbridge Nursing Home, Westmont. Mrs. Shamo was born April 23, 1908, in Hammond and lived in Mishawaka until December 1995.
As Margaret T. Wolters she married Carleton Shamo. He died in 1984. She is survived by a son, Robert of Lombard, Ill.; a sister, Ruth Wolters of Calumet City, Ind.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. June 8 in the church. Cremation has taken place. Toon Funeral Home, Westmont, is in charge of arrangements.
