Mishawaka Rocco Sencrie, 70, of 423 W. 9th St., died at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in his home. He had been ill for two years. He was employed by the City of Mishawaka Maintenance Department, until his retirement in 1965.
Born in Rome. Italy, on March 25, 1900, he came to Mishawaka in 1915 from that country and married Minnie Perri in St. Monicas Church on June 12 1927. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter. Mrs. Lee Gushwa, Jr. of Osceola, a brother Emidio Sencrie of Rome; three sisters, Mrs. Marion Bucci, Mrs. Catherine Ferri and Mrs. Marietta Berdini also of Rome, and two grandchildren
Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Bavos Catholic Church. Rev. Stephen Cvaniga, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Sencrie was a member of St. Bavos Church, Chapter 6 Disabled American Veterans, he DeAmicis Club, the Mishawaka-Penn Twp. Mens Democratic Club, and a veteran of World War I.
