Gertrude Semala: (Michigan City News Dispatch 4/25/1964)
Gertrude Semala, 55, 301 E. Homer St., died yesterday afternoon
at St. Anthony Hospital. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 10
a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church. Msgr. Julian Doktor will
officiate. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Friends may
call at the Hummer-White Mortuary from Monday afternoon. The
Rosary Sodality will recite the Rosary Monday evening at 7:30 at
the Mortuary. Mrs. Semala was born here Feb. 14, 1909, the
daughter of Krawery and Pauline Layman Klosinski. She was married
here May 19, 1925 to Vender Semala, who survives. Also surviving
are a son, Richard, and a daughter, Mrs. Eugene Bohle, both of
this city, two brothers, Clem and Stanley, both of this city, and
four grandchildren. Mrs. Semala was a member of St. Stanislaus
Church, St. Stanislaus Rosary Sodality and War Mothers.
