Genevieve R. Semak

September 16, 1923 -- November 26, 2004

Genevieve R. Semak, 81, of East 12th Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away in her residence at 5:15 a.m., Friday, November 26.

She was born in South Bend, Ind. on September 16th, 1923, to Joseph and Jeannie Kotal, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Semak was a supervisor at the former Carlisle Nursing Home on Western Avenue, South Bend. She is survived by three sons, Albert (Kandra) Semak Jr. of Osceola, Ind., Larry Semak and Alan (Becky) Semak, both of Mishawaka; one daughter, Sharon (George) Charles of Mishawaka; four sisters, Margaret VanDeKeere of Mishawaka, Hildegarde (Robert) Firestone of North Liberty, Ind., Helen (Thomas) Trippel of Mishawaka and Mary (Bernard) Dooms of South Bend; one brother, Frank Kotal of North Liberty. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Michael (Rosie) Semak, Anthony (Debbie) Semak, Michelle Bennett, Anjanette (Mark) Lindeman, George (Lorie) Charles Jr., Rodney (Jennifer) Semak, Joshua Semak, Kevin Semak and Sarah Semak; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stacy Dee Charles; two brothers, Henry Kotal, and Joe Kotal. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, November 29th at the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, where friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from noon until service time on Monday. Burial will follow the services Monday at Highland Cemetery, South Bend.
