SOUTH BEND - Hans A. Seifert, 90, of East Woodside Boulevard, died at 6:15 a.m. today in Meridian Nursing Center-Cardinal. Mr. Seifert was an industrial engineer for the former Bendix Corp., retiring in 1968. He was born Oct. 20, 1903, in Seussen, Germany, and lived in South Bend since 1923, coming from Germany.

On Oct. 1, 1929, in South Bend, he married Bertha Schlegel. She died March 30, 1980. He is survived by two cousins, Eugene Steinhilber of Berrien Springs and Donald Steinhilber of South Bend. He was a member of South Bend Masonic Lodge 294, Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend, Orak Shrine Temple, Hammond, South Bend Shrine Club, Scottish Rite Choir for more than 40 years, Bendix Management Club, Schwaben Verein, Chicago, was past treasurer of Four Lakes Country Club, Edwardsburg, and past president of American Turners.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Zion United Church of Christ. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St., where Masonic services will be at 7:30 p.m.
