Richard K. Seidl, 70, of 1226
Sunnymede Ave., died at 12:25 p.m. Friday in St. Josephs Medical
Center after an illness of several months. He worked
for the White Farm Equipment Co. of South Bend for 38 years.
He was sales director before retiring. Born March 12, 1913,
in Jones, he had lived here most of his life. He was
married on June 22, 1946, in South Bend, to Olga Kompar.
She survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Ms. Mary
Seidl, at home; a son, John S. of South Bend; a granddaughter;
and a brother, Robert J. of Sylvania, Ohio.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St.
Stephens Catholic Church, Rev. Thomas Lemos, pastor,
will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Sunday in the Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd. He
was a WW II veteran and a member of the Disabled American
Veterans. He was a member of the Elks Club 235 of South
Bend and the Knights of Columbus Council 5521. Memorial
contributions may be made to the oncology unit of St. Josephs
Medical Center.
