Janet Ann Segety, 46, of Ponderosa Court, South Bend, Ind., passed away after a long illness at 7:55 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10, in her residence. She was born in South Bend on March 15, 1956, to Frank and Margaret (Benassie) May of Texas. Janet is survived by her husband, Michael Segety; four children, Rodney Segety, Michael Segety, Jessica Segety and Kenzie Segety; and by eight brothers and sisters, Sue (Chuck) Wozniak, Peggy (Ray) Butler, Sally (Dennis) Malott, Karen May, Frank (Tammy) May, Sherrie May, John May and Ronald (Laura) May. She graduated from Washington High School and attended Bethel College. She received her associate degree in accounting from Ivy Tech. Janet worked as an accountant for the Laven Insurance Company. She belonged to Calvary Baptist Church. Janet also belonged to the Phi Theta Kappa Society.
