2008SOUTH BEND - Robert J. Sebens, 69, of South Bend, IN, passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 24, 2008, in Indianapolis, IN, while traveling. Robert was born in Three Oaks, MI, on November 9, 1939, to Clarence and Alberta (Klute) Sebens. On July 18, 1959, he married Mary Ann O'Donnell, who survives. Robert and Mary Ann spent their married life between their homes in South Bend, Texas, and Ontario, Canada. Other survivors include his daughter, Debra (Allen "Al") Wujcik of South Bend, IN; his son, James A. Sebens of South Bend, IN; two grandchildren, Kyle J. Wujcik of Vancouver, WA, and Rynn M. Wujcik of South Bend, IN; and one sister, Delorse (Dale) Hurt of Niles, MI. Robert was an owner of several local communications companies in the South Bend area including C.B. Specialists, RRR Electronics and LES Distributing. He was a self-made man and retired at 52 years of age. Robert was a 1959 graduate of South Bend Central High School. He enjoyed his summers in North West Ontario, Canada, with family and friends, and fishing and his recent winter home in Harlingen, TX. He was a member of Central Alumni High and N.W. Ontario Homeowners Association. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 29, 2008, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Burial will follow in New Troy Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 until 8 p.m. Friday and from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
