NEW CARLISLE - Diane Marie Sebasty, 57, of New Carlisle, IN, passed away at 11:23 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 2010, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN, following a sudden illness. She was born on August 29, 1952, to Edward Russell and Viola (Miller) Codman in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong resident of New Carlisle, IN. Both her parents preceded her in death. Mrs. Sebasty worked for FedEx Custom Critical for nine years. On April 3, 1971, as Diane Marie Codman, she married Dennis L. Sebasty in LaPorte, IN. She is survived by her loving husband, Dennis of 39 years; one daughter, Angela (John) Arndt of New Carlisle, IN; two sons, Greg (Shawnie) Sebasty of Buchanan, MI, and Ryan (Heather) Sebasty of South Bend, IN; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Dan (Shirley) Codman of Florida and David Codman of New Carlisle, IN. Mrs. Sebasty worked with special needs children at Southside School in Niles, MI. She enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, gardening, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and helping her husband on the farm. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday, April 12, 2010, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2010, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, South Bend, IN, with Pastor Jim Toole officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery in Galien, MI.
