SOUTH BEND - Mildred V. Searfoss, 94, of Ironwood Health Care & Rehabilitation Center, died at 9:19 a.m. Monday in the nursing center. Mrs. Searfoss was born Jan. 3, 1900, in Tuscola, Ill., and lived in South Bend most of her life.

In 1920, in South Bend, as Mildred Pinckert, she married Roy M. Tomlinson. He died in 1963. In 1967, in South Bend, she married Herman Searfoss. He died in 1977. She is survived by five daughters, Alice Burlington of Mount Pleasant, Mich., and Fern Heilman, Dolly Pozanski, Marjory Streich, and Doris Goon, all of South Bend; four sons, Paul M. Tomlinson and Clifford Searfoss, both of South Bend, Carl W. Tomlinson of Michigan City, and Bob Searfoss of Niles; 43 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; and 30 great-great-grandchildren. She was a member of Southside Christian Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan St. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
