James E. Scott

June 3, 1909 – April 24, 1974

James E. Scott, 64, of 1253 Longfellow St., died at 7:30pm Wednesday in the Cardinal Nursing Home after an extended illness.  He formerly was employed at Wittenberg University, Springfield OH.

Born June 3, 1909, in Seller’s Landing IL, he had lived here four years, coming form Urbana OH.  His wife, Lessie Simmons, survives along with two daughters, Mrs. Harold Ross of South Bend, and Mrs. James Price of Dearborn MI; three grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Marcella Berlin of Bridgeport IL.

The Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St., is in charge of arrangements.
