WALKERTON - David Lee Scott, 60, passed away Monday,
October 20, 2008, at 6:15 p.m. in LaPorte Hospital. Dave was born
February 15, 1948, in South Bend, IN, to Earl and Betty (Flick)
Scott, and had lived in the area all of his life. He is survived
by a daughter, Gina (Butch) Petty of Plainfield, IN; a
son, Nathan (Aubrie) Divine-Scott of Madison, WI; his partner,
Annette Goforth of Walkerton; a brother, Jerry (June)
Scott of Sargent, TX; grandchildren, Jordan, Ashlee and Wesley
Petty, and Sierra Divine-Scott; a niece, Shelly Bogard,
and two nephews, Lance and Lynn Scott, all of Walkerton. He was
preceded in death by his parents. Dave was Safety & Quality
Manager at P&H Machine in Walkerton. He was a U.S. Navy
veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of Walkerton American Legion
Post #189, the commissioner of the Tuesday Night Men's Golf
League at Swan Lake Golf Course for many years, and was a member
of the Whispering Pines Golf Course in North Liberty.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time in Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel, with Pastor Brian Baughman officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton, where military graveside services will be conducted. Friends may call today from 4-8 p.m. EDT and Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services in the funeral home.
