Daniel W. Scott, 76, of Whispering
Oak Drive, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away on Wednesday, March 24,
following an illness. He was born in LaGrange, Ind., to Ross and
DeEtte Scott on Feb. 13, 1923.
On Dec. 3, 1955, he married the former
Gloria Costin in South Bend, Ind. She survives. He is also
survived by two sons, Daniel J. (Sharon) Scott of South Bend and
Patrick R. Scott of Mishawaka; a daughter, Colleen A. (James) Turbeville
of Mishawaka; a sister, Patricia A. (Scott) Warrick of
Appleton, Wis.; a brother, Richard A. Scott of Morrison, Colo.;
and by his grandchildren, Daniel T. Scott, Anthony A. Scott and
Sean R. Scott. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Anita
Marie Villagrana.
Mr. Scott retired from the ATT Corporation
in 1987 after 45 years of service as a transmission technician.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, Signal Corps during
World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of
the Telephone Pioneers, the Antique Aircraft Association, the
Experimental Aircraft Association and the Hoosier A Model A Club.
Services for Mr. Scott will be held at 10
a.m. on Monday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main
Street, Mishawaka, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8
p.m. on Sunday. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Valley
Memorial Park, Granger, Ind. Memorial contributions may be made
to the Women's Care Center, 201 Lincoln Way West, Mishawaka; or
to the charity of donor's choice
