Michael (Mike) Scobocsan, 78, of 2017 S. Carlisle St. died at 3 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital after a six-week illness. He was a retired Studebaker employee and member of UAW CTO Local 5. Born Jan. 20, 1895, at Zorkahaz, Zala Megye, Hungary, he came to South Bend 62 years ago. O May 24, 1919 at Chicago, he married Katherine Taller, who survives along with two sons, Stephen J. of Elkhart and Eugene J. of Mishawaka, and two grandchildren. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the Zahoran Funeral Home, where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday by the Sacred Heart and Rosary Society of Our Lady of Hungary Church with Msgr. John S. Sabo, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
