GRANGER - Mary O. Sciotto, 99, born October 28, 1910, in Rock
Glen NY, the beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Sciotto, died at
7:05 AM Saturday, December 19, 2009, at Hearth at Juday Creek,
Granger, Indiana. She moved to the South Bend area in 2003,
coming from Florida where she had lived since the 1970s. She also
lived in Tennessee for ten years. Adored by all who knew her, she
leaves behind her daughter, Marilyn S. Wilkinson, and her
husband, William of South Bend, IN; her son, Anthony J. Sciotto
Jr., and his wife, Peggy of Columbia, TN; her brother, James C.
Orlando of California; grandchildren, Mary Lee Mattern and her
husband, Jay of Walkerton, IN, Jay Wilkinson and his wife, Nancy
of Granger, IN, and Sarah Gavigan and her husband, Brad of
Venice, CA; six great-grandchildren, Joel, Jennifer, Ryan,
Samantha, Alex and Augusta; and two great-great-grandchildren,
Brayden and Madison. Two sisters, Rose Krakowski and Pearl Green,
and two brothers, John Orlando and Charles Orlando, all preceded
her in death. Her zest for life can only be summed up in her love
of family and her magic in the kitchen. Services will be held at
1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at the Mausoleum Chapel in
Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Friends may visit
with the family from 1:00-3:00 PM today, December 20, 2009, in
the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South
Bend. Contributions in memory of Mary O. Sciotto may be made to
