SOUTH BEND - Leo A. Schwind, 88, of Clearwater, Fla., formerly of South Bend, died Friday in Highlands Regional Medical Center, Sebring, Fla. Mr. Schwind was employed for 15 years with Indiana & Michigan Power Co.

He was born May 1, 1905, in South Bend, moving to Florida in 1966 from South Bend. He married Helen Crawford. She preceded him in death in 1993. Surviving are two sons, John L. of South Bend and James W. of Garrett, Ind.; four grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.

Rhodes Funeral Home, Belcher Chapel, Clearwater, is in charge of arrangements. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Light of Christ Catholic Church, Clearwater. Burial will be in Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, Clearwater. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Rhodes Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Arthritis Foundation.
