Arnold C. Schwertman

August 18, 1890 – June 26, 1974

Arnold C. Schwertman, 83, of 310 N. McCombs St., Roseland, was dead on arrival at 8:38am today at Memorial Hospital after suffering a heart attack in his home.  Mrs. Schwertman was a retired Singer Manufacturing Co. employee.

Born August 18, 1890, in Chicago, he had lived here 51 years, coming from East Chicago IN.  On June 4, 1919, in Chicago, he married Georgia Stolte, who died in 1971.  Surviving are a son, Willard A. of South Bend; three grandchildren, and a brother, Emil, of Oak Lawn IL.

Friends may call form 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Thursday in the Welsheimer North Chapel.  52803 US 31 N., where services will be held at 1pm Friday.  Rev. Charles W. Davis Jr., pastor of the Grace Baptist Church, will officiate.  Burial will be in St Joseph alley Memorial Park.
