Lucille R. Schumacher

April 10, 1906 - April 19, 2006

Lucille R. Schumacher, 100, of South Bend, Indiana, died following an illness at 9:45 p.m. on April, 19, 2006, in Boswell Hospital, Sun City, Arizona.

Lucille was employed by the Indiana Bell Telephone Company in Michigan City, Indiana, prior to her marriage in 1933 to Mr. Herman J. Schumacher of Mishawaka, Indiana. Mr. Schumacher preceded his wife in death on December 9, 1990.

Mrs. Schumacher was born in Michigan City, Indiana, and had lived in Mishawaka and South Bend since 1933.

She is survived by two sons, John P. Schumacher of Sun City, AZ, and Peter L. Schumacher of South Bend; a daughter, Mary J. Schumacher of Prescott, AZ; six grandchildren, John II of Wittman, AZ, Eric of Georgetown, IN, Jennifer A. of Avon, IN, Jennifer J. of Leichlingen, Germany, and Ann Arbor, MI, Peter Mark of Danville, PA, and Michael Allen, also of Pennsylvania.

Mrs. Schumacher was a graduate of Saint Mary's High School in Michigan City. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Sun City, AZ.

A funeral Mass will he at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 25, in Holy Cross Church, followed by a burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, Mishawaka.

Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. on Monday in the HICKEY Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, where a Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m.
