Elmer O. Schulte

SOUTH BEND - Elmer O. Schulte, 80, of Prast Boulevard, died at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday in Cardinal Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Schulte retired in 1972 from Bendix Corp. after 32 years in the foundry department. He was born June 21, 1914, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. On July 3, 1941, in South Bend, he married Alice K. Boomhower. She died Nov. 23, 1984. Surviving are a sister, Elsie Schneider of Anderson, S.C.; and two nieces, Lila M. Terry and Claire Burnette, both of Anderson.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Highland Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Welsheimer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity.
