Mary Ann (Kalicsak) Schrader, 81, of 17650 Generations Drive, South Bend, passed away at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Shamrock Gardens Assisted Living Center after an extended illness. She was born on April 10, 1916, in Mishawaka, Ind., having lived in Boynton Beach, Fla., since 1967, and returning to the South Bend area in 1995.

On March 21, 1941, as Mary Ann Kalicsak, she married Roland E. ''Bud'' Schrader who preceded her in death on April 20, 1983. She is survived by two sons, Ryan (Patty) Schrader of South Bend and Randall Schrader of Austin, Texas; a stepson, Timothy Zerbel of South Bend; and a stepdaughter, Therese Zerbel Perkins of South Bend. Mary Ann is also survived by a sister, Helen Daly of Scottsdale, Ariz. She leaves behind her loving grandchildren, Laurie LaDow of South Bend and Jill Kiser of South Bend and two loving great-grandchildren, Jessica Perkins and Karley LaDow.

Friends were received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hanley & Sons Funeral Home ''Southwest Chapel.'' Funeral services were held today at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Jim Todd officiating. Burial was private following the services. The Schrader family requests that memorial contributions be made to CANCO, Child Development Center, 609 John Glenn Court, Mishawaka, Ind. Hanley & Son Funeral Home ''Southwest Chapel'' located at West Ireland Road and State Road 23 South Bend, handled the arrangements.
