Eugene L. Schrader

Eugene L. Schrader, 84, of South 30th Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 12:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, following an illness. He was born July 12, 1916 in Warsaw, Ind., to Simon and Blanche Schrader, who preceded him in death.

On Nov. 27, 1948, he married the former Cynthia E. Munro in Mishawaka, Ind. She died May 29, 1989. Surviving are his sons, Alan G. Schrader and Brian R. Schrader, both of Mishawaka; four grandchildren; and a brother, Robert E. Schrader of Sebring, Fla.

Mr. Schrader was a draftsman at Uniroyal Corp. until his retirement in 1970. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, post 360, Mishawaka, and the American Legion. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army.

Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Scott Distler and Rev. Davy Troxel officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
