SOUTH BEND - Private graveside services and burial for Dorothy L. Schneider, 86, of 3535 Woldhaven Drive, who died after an illness at 4:45 p.m. Monday in Memorial Hospital, will be Friday in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Indianapolis. There will be no visitation. Hanley & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.

Mrs. Schneider was born July 9, 1909, in Robinson, Ill., and lived in South Bend since 1993. As Dorothy L. Nesbit, she married John J. Schneider. He died in 1976. Surviving are a daughter, C. Nadine Dobbs of South Bend; a son, John J. ''Jack'' Jr. of Fishers, Ind.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
